Teamwork makes the dream work

There’s no US without you. As an open source product, Koha is developed and supported by a global community of passionate people. User participation in the community is key to helping the software grow and thrive. koha-US is here to help drive that participation by providing users in the United States and beyond a vehicle to interact, share, and learn.

There are tons of ways you can get involved. Here are a few suggestions to get you started:

1. Connect with US

Follow koha-US on:

Meetings & Conferences

Online meetings are open to any and all to discuss issues, ideas, and ask questions.

STARTING JANUARY 2024:

  • General Meetings – First Wednesday of the month
  • Board Meetings – Second Wednesday of the month

koha-US also holds an annual in-person conference at a location voted on by the membership. View archives of past conferences below, and watch our front page for news about upcoming events.

User Groups

koha-US is happy to facilitate Koha user groups beyond our monthly general meetings. We can provide mailing lists, Zoom rooms, and a space on the website at your request to info@koha-us.org.

  • Regional User Groups: Usually share a common geographical area and meet regularly in-person
  • Special Interest Groups: Share an interest in a specific area of Koha and meet regularly online

Mailing Lists

The koha-US mailing list is the best way to stay informed about meetings and happenings with the organization. It also provides an outlet to connect and share with other Koha users in the US.

koha-US fully supports the mission of the Koha community and encourages you to also join the global Koha mailing list to connect with users worldwide.

2. Improve Koha with US

Bugs

A primary function of the user group is to share, discuss and collaborate on issues and enhancements with Koha. koha-US maintains a list of discussed and still outstanding bugs in the official community bug tracker. Click below to see our most recently discussed bugs, view our full list of bugs, or submit a bug to add to our watch list.

Developments

koha-US is dedicated to the future of Koha. Development collaboration gives members the power to choose which developments koha-US helps fund. Members also help champion developments through the community development workflow so they are properly integrated into Koha.  Check out our collaboration process and view what’s in the works.
